WHAT WE DO
Our aim is “to take good news relevantly to every young person in the South Hams” and so what we do is driven by real local needs and young peoples actual requests.
Positive role models and trusting relationships, built by our volunteers and based on our Christian ethos, enable young people to feel accepted for who they are, and to develop the confidence and self esteem to enjoy their lives and fulfil their potential.
Some of the young people we come into contact with have complex needs and because of this we work closely with and are able to refer young people to specialist agencies such as; The Domestic Violence and Abuse Service, CAHMS, Y-Smart Drug and Alcohol Services and the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We continue to work young people as they receive advice from these agencies, helping with transport, attending appointments and offering ongoing support between appointments if required.
Parents will requested to complete a General Consent Form for any outings and residential activities. This is normall valid for one year. It is the parental responsibility to ensure that all the personal and medical information is kept up todate.
